Sexy ending
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

they have to win the extra 4 games they still have besides us AND outplay us by 3 in the other games the rest of the way out.

Direct quote from BCB(fwiw)
“we have four games in hand”……I don’t understand that. Last time I checked, the cards had 7 more wins and 3 less losses. In my mind the Cards have those games in hand, because they’ve already been won, right?

That is downright logical...
And I will have NONE of it!
But seriously, for them to say they have four games in hand, they’re assuming a win in each of the four extra games they have to play. That’s as flawed as flawed logic gets.
What’s funny to me is that even if they win all four of those games, they only gain two games in the standings. So they need a total of seven (7!) more wins than the Cardinals just to tie.

RAY Chapman and Mike Coolbaugh
Coolbaugh played for the Cards in 2002. His brother Scott played for them in 1994. He was hired by the Rockies’ AA team in 2007, as a first base coach. Was killed 19 days later by a foul ball that hit him in the neck. That fall, MLB required that all base coaches would wear helmets starting in 2008. (I live in Colorado, so I remember this pretty vividly.)

With his fastball
I don’t see any reason not to start him at Quad Cities. He’s going to just overpower guys at the short season clubs. I’d like to see a situation where players are capable of getting around on a good fastball and he’s forced to be a more complete pitcher.
Frankly, whatever pitching coach is most willing to work on a changeup with him is where he should go.

Unless they're going to put Allen Craig there
I don’t want any part of Freese at 3rd, Glaus is never healthy again imo and I don’t trust Beltre to recover fully. I’ll take a 2-year DeRo deal or something along those lines.

Unless I understand you wrong and there is a stipulation that you can't draft a guy twice
they could draft him again #1 overall and if he doesn’t sign, they’d just get another 1st round pick the next year because they wouldn’t be using their ‘make-up’ pick but rather their #1 pick.

I think on a make-up pick
they have to sign their first rounder or they lose it.
So if they pick him again next year with the same pick, they HAVE to get him signed. That said, Bryce + Strasburg = pretty nice draft haul, by most standards…

I always wanted to like Attitude for the PSX, because of its enormous cache of theme songs and create a player mode, but gameplay-wise the WCW/NWO derivatives were the best.

Heath Bell's take
“The last time I was here it was fun, exciting, and it didn’t mean anything,” Bell said. "Today it meant something and I’m really ticked off.
“I wasn’t thinking of the All-Star game one bit, I was just out there trying to get San Diego another victory.”
Bell took a ground ball off his right leg earlier in the inning on a comebacker by Mark DeRosa but wouldn’t use that as an excuse.
“Yeah, it was throbbing but I blocked it out pretty good,” Bell said. “I was surprised how big it was when I took my pants off.”

so does this mean that Cody’s not sick anymore?

My ex-girlfriend was South Korean and while she didn’t really practice Hinduism, she was really into meditation and yoga and the like.
