I believe the rules changed
the playoff roster is now comprised of anyone on the 40 man roster as of Aug 31st. I found this link on the metsfever blog .I’ll look at the mlb rules to see if I can confirm
mlb.com
only confirms this important date – Aug. 31, 2009. Postseason eligibility lists are established. I know the rule changed in 2007 to create the playoff roster from the 25 man + dl list as of Aug 31st without regard to position players vs pitchers. I think the rule was changed again in 2008 to just use the 40 man roster excluding anyone placed on the 60 day dl after Aug 1st.
Here is a snippet from Red Sox director of baseball operations Brian O’Halloranconfirming the 2007 rule change
“The position-player-for-position-player / pitcher-for-pitcher requirement is indeed now gone for substitutions prior to a series,” O’Halloran wrote in an e-mail. “However, teams now are allowed to substitute for an injured player during a series. Such in-series substitutions are position-player-for-position-player / pitcher-for-pitcher, and the injured player cannot be active for the remainder of that series or the next series. Those substitutions also require MLB approval.
”The way substitutions (before a series) work in general is as follows: each team’s initial pool of eligible players is the 25 players on its active roster at midnight on 8/31 plus any players on the 15-day DL, 60-day DL, suspended list, bereavement list, etc."

Yeah, i really enjoy mine.
Works really well as a DVR. I could get most channels, and to get all of them you can rent a card from the cable company that would basically act like a cable box in your computer.

I set my Cable Tuner to channel 3 and then use the output on my DVR like a giant VCR. It allows me to fast forward and rewind if something gets messed up.
