But it's an acceptable avatar.
Why is monkey not acceptable? Do you have something against monkeys? Did they do something to you personally? A bad experience at the zoo, perhaps?
By whom?
I’ve never used it as such, nor would I. I couldn’t care less what race Manny is. He was rolling around like a goofball in the OF. I’m sorry if you were offended, but I’ve never used that term in that way. It’s a sub for cursing.

I'll stop using it here, as ...
it’s not possible to know a person in this forum. Otherwise, you’d realize this is a pretty silly argument against me, but it’s not worth going into any further. That said, it’s not worth upsetting anybody here, and I apologize for any who might have misconstrued me here.

Dude.
Let it go. You don’t know me or my intentions. Because somebody else has bastardized something for their own sinister meanings doesn’t mean that we all use it that way. There was NO INTENT, as I’ve said repeatedly. I said I won’t use it here anymore, and I won’t. I don’t need a morality lesson from you about how I conduct my life away from here. Let it go.
You said you found it personally offensive, so I conceded not to use something that offends you. That’s ALL I owe you.

so it’s something near and dear to my heart.

bought me a full size drum set – completely unsolicited – when i was 8 yrs old. what were they thinking?
I played through college. Occasionally get to play on a friends set. Still makes me very happy.
