Game 103 Overflow II

Umm runs please.  Those would be nice.  Since we just spent millions of dollars and prospects on you, could you hit a HR maybe Mr. Holliday.  We'll probably give you a curtain call if you do.

True

But when the ethereal glow of a late night descends upon the stadium, young players who are beta dogs do not run with the pack and adjust to their environment. A veteran alpha dog will chew his toy and not use predetermined swing goals. Albert has not adjusted. Colby is not the cream.

Ah, but to be vague

Vague, spants, is the key. Some would say that too much fun is had in the clubhouse. Albert cannot control this environment. LaRussa will not change, the world will change around him. Colby is the future, but he is not the now. He is self-motivated and doesn’t change or listen to any but his own. Spants you watch, but you don’t see. The cream will rise.

I will now stop this…this may be mean. But it was fun whilst it lasted. I hope I adjusted to the environment.

Ah, flim

I will not play to the crowd. The players who are self-motivated will stop listening to Hal, which is good. A poster who fails to think will not type, nor will they receive a rec. I do not play for the rec. Perhaps McRae will teach the charges to ignore their predetermined swing goals and take a measured swing, gently slapping the ball to right. Colby will not, he is the future, but not the cream nor an alpha. Alphas run in front of the cream.

Our offense really is a juggernaut now

I remember that horrible Sunday night game when we were getting dominated by Lee…I felt that there was never really any chance we would rally, he was dominating us so completely.

But with this offense, even with Billingsley carving us up for 5 innings, I still felt that we might rally. I have newfound confidence. (And for this reason, I want to slap TLR across his face for bunting with DeRosa and giving away an out in that rally inning.)

I don't think that Manny minds the booing, and here's why...

Manny may have absolutely no idea he was traded. Granted, when he got to LA he was probably perplexed about the new white and blue uniforms the Red Sox were wearing, and was probably unsure of where the big green wall he used to catch the ball off of and pee in went. He was also unsure of where that David Bigpapi guy was too, I’m sure. Now, he’s in St. Louis, and he’s confused as to why the Yankees wear red now. I bet he’s standing out in right field wondering if Pedro Martinez is pitching the next day, or if it’s that Curt guy whose heel bled that one time.
