So..what’re the chances in the next few days Lugo ever plays 2B and Skip LF to improve both positions? Or will we see Ankiel playing every day now?

Kinda want to see what Mr. Obama has to say about healthcare and they are unfortunately on at the same time. This whole healthcare deal sounds kind of important, good thing Carpenter is pitching tonight and not Wellemeyer or I wouldn’t be able to justify my decision so easily…
no politics please

Sorry to mention this to people in case they didn’t know it was going to be on. Very political comment there.

So is barden available for play today? and lugo will join the team later?
is that the status?

switch Ankiel and a cardboard cutout.
At least the cutout won’t K swinging.
Might even get an HBP if we're lucky.
It’ll certainly hit the deck easily.

For god sakes...
it’s a business. The kid has hit 11 home runs in his last 600 plate appearances, and his one supposed skill is hitting home runs.
I can imagine he wasn't too happy about it.
I wouldn’t think too many dads would be excited to see their kid traded to somebody else’s farm system.

It looks like he's coming up out of his stance...
right before he makes contact. I would think this would lead to him hitting on top of the ball, but for some reason it looks like it’s causing him to pop up.

Tony can still have fun putting him at different fielding positions.

they’re saying DunK is playing left in Fenway… I see him as nothing more than a bench player who sees 2 games a week on that club.
Intervention
The more I think about, and given Tony and Big Dunc’s reaction, the more it feels like an intervention to me. Tony clearly wasn’t thinking clearly about Lil Dunc, given his focus on what Lil Duc COULD do (rather than what Lil Duc hadn’t done all year).
Hopefully he’s come to his senses.
This is also why you need some balls in the front office; field management can get too close to the players and lose their objectivity.
P.S. Was Thurston DFA’d or did I just dream that?

this is a long slump, for Albert.
He seemed to break out of it then went right back into it.
His slumps are relatively short, and Luddy is fired up, but I’m mostly annoyed that when Albert slumps, the rest of the team can’t hit for shit.

But he was safe.
3B missed on the first swipe.
Unfortunately, too many umps at all levels just give the offense the call if the ball gets there first and the guy on the base holds onto the ball.
