I’m supposed to be going to the game tonight, but my girlfriend’s arriving flight is delayed more by an hour. So, instead, I’m at work, stalking the VEB game thread.
Anyways, go Cards and go Carp. Need a good start in fantasy.
call her a cab
you’ll thank yourself for it during the game and pay for it later
if his lady friend can't understand how important the game is
she’s not really worth his time now is she?

We must have just signed the Pope to play 3rd base
Because he broke his wrist the other day.

phew
arroyo just got out of a jam in the bottom of the third against the brewers
and i was at work all day...
this has probably been reported everywhere now that i think of it
it's been one of those things that fluctuates
this one went a positive direction
on the other hand (unrelated side bar to ensue)… mcbride gets hosed… goes in for shoulder surgery, expected to be out 3-4 weeks… fire lose him for the rest of the season
that blows
getting derosa back is nice though
Anyone got a lead on where to watch online?
Mehopes that StickTV will carry the game. They’re always reliable and easy.
Just a heads up
MLB Extra Innings is having a free trial, so if you have cable or satellite, you’ll probably be able to get it on TV.
ok...
i’ve heard derosa is still hurt, derosa is needs surgery, derosa is coming back. all in one day….i need a beer to calm down. anyone have a link for the derosa is coming back statement?? i need to see to believe…then pinch myself
"A slick way to out-figure a person is to get him figuring you figure he's figuring you're figuring he'll figure you aren't really figuring what you want him to figure you figure." ~ Whitey Herzog
My understanding....
He could be activated as soon as tomorrow, or they could hold him bac till monday. They don’t seem to be sure if he’ll last without surgery, the only way to tell is to play on it. Deroa’s paraphrased words.
IMO…this has typical written all over it.
thank you
for the clarification. of course he’ll play on it and then go down for the year. but least i’m prepared for it

uh
i thought they replaced the “i” in big mac?
VEB takes one stop closer to running this damn team
It’s only a matter of time before we have Sabean’s cell number and we can prank call him at all hours of the night asking if he needs a left-handed first baseman with power.
Must. Find. Better. Speakers.
My house partially flooded last night and now I have 3 big fans creating a ton of noise in an effort to dry out the carpet. Time to go hunt through the boxes the movers brought to me with all of my Household Goods in them.
Go Cards!
C'mon you Redbirds, lets prove em' wrong, again!
Perfect team.
To start the second half against. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t win 2 out of 3 or sweep.
i'd love for him to just not suck

"If I prepare myself, my stuff is good and I'm going to get outs. That is a fact." - Chris Carpenter
Ah I see
Actually, I had a co-worker come up to me the other day and tell me how Rasmus had been working out at his gym the other day after the ASB because the weight rooms at the stadium were a mess or something. I’m not sure what I would do with myself if Rasmus just showed up at my gym one night. My co-worker didn’t care but just came by to rub it in.
Future Redbirds - tracking Cardinal prospects for Cardinal Nation
That's nice of him.
Yeah, I wouldn’t have the faintest idea of what to say to these guys.

Future Redbirds - tracking Cardinal prospects for Cardinal Nation
The only appropriate thing to do
Is to challenge him to some kind of weight-lifting contest.
“So Skip, what ya benchin these days? 130? 140?”
I'm sure he's benching more than that.
"If I prepare myself, my stuff is good and I'm going to get outs. That is a fact." - Chris Carpenter
Definitely.
I’m not really lifting for strength gain right now but I put up 175+ when I’m maxing out.
