Apparently, no team who has had the President throw out a pitch in their stadium has won the World Series that season since 1930.

so, fifteen times this has happened and the team hasn't won the world series?

well, that would be extraordinary if there weren’t THIRTY teams in major league baseball! if you said they all had losing records . . . well, i still would think it was a coincidence. but this isn’t really even a spooky coincidence, it’s just kind of a stupid fact.

Note: no baseball team city hit by a class III or up hurricane has EVER won the World Series in the year following the hurricane. *
