Fearless prediction...

11-7 AL wins again. NL takes an early lead. Jason Marquis comes in and plays the Atlee Hammaker role. Our hero goes 1-2 with a double. Franklin pitches a scoreless 2/3 of an inning. Molina is 0-1.

Could we have an All Star game

Where the pitchers are chosen for being exactly League Average the and score would be in the 20’s for the game. That would be fun. Basically just a game application of the Home Run Derby.

Even more fun!

The NL manager gets to choose the AL pitchers and the AL manager gets to choose the NL pitchers. (Just as far as who’s on the roster, obviously each manager has to actually handle their own pitching staff)

Good for him.

The public response to players who use steroids really varies. I mean, Palmeiro, Sosa, Bonds, McGwire, Ramirez, and Rodriguez are all equivalent, right? Sure some have failed and test and others haven’t, but any reasonable person can conclude they’re all guilty.

However I’m glad to see someone paid some money for an actual staircase off the dangerous trucks. We need to host more of these national events so they can add seatbelts.

The Chevy trucks? Making our high priced players jump out of the flatbed? Didn’t look like they got benches before, either. Some guys almost fell out, getting out.

The aerial shot from today showed big ole metal staircases. With black and yellow ‘caution’ stripes.

According to everything I’ve read, THIS was supposed to be MLB’s big recognition of a guy who is widely regarded as one of the best, if most unappreciated (outside of STL), players in MLB history. That was pretty effin’ weak….a little ride from the tunnel on a tiny mobile, hand the ball off, and you’re done?

Remember when the AS game was at Fenway and they brought all the living HOFers out (I think) and all the players had a nice structured opportunity to fawn all over Ted Williams? That’s what I was thinking we had planned for Stan. That was pretty disappointing, IMO.

I hate the fact

that this game keeps getting in the way of all of the commercials.

He doesn't play in the ASG

He plays in the HOF game, duh

Yadi swings and hits a high fly ball... Endy Chavez goes back, to the track, to the wall... ITS A GUNNER!! Yadi gives St. Louis the lead in the top of the ninth!

I love how it never matters on a trade rumor.

“Let’s go down to Ken Rosenthal and see where _________ might be headed.”

Ken: “Thanks guys. Although most of the rumors have centered around _______, my sources say that the Yankees can’t be ruled out of the hunt.”

Man, that gets annoying.

The "there's no news to report" report

“Since coming to St. Louis, Roy Halladay hasn’t made any decisions about anything. Nor have I heard of any specific scenarios. Back to you guys in the booth.”

I hope he kicked all their asses.

Funny that the NL was so bad

that the AL’s starting pitcher got an AB in the top of the 2nd.
