Death Proof...
… is Tarantino’s half of Grindhouse. the other half was done by Robert Rodriguez. Rodriguez also did 95% of Sin City; Tarantino only directed one scene.
Kill Bill 2 should not be considered separately from KB1; Tarantino made them as one film but the studio didn’t want to release a 4 hour movie so his split them up. either way KB2 is a fine movie.

… for being what it is: an homage to uneven, unpaced, 70s exploitation films. i like the Rosario Dawson half better than the Rose McGowan half, and it does drag a bit compared to Planet Terror. but i think it’s still fine.
