Ridiculously high odds for such a crapshoot as the HR Derby, and I can always lay off should they reach the second round.

We booed Isringhausen even when he wasn't hurt...he tried to set a record for blown saves...

We love when players give 100% or more, and you certainly can’t give that when you are hurt….The fact that he hid that from our medical staff hurts the team, hurts the fans, and hurts yourself farther. Either way, he deserved it…

disagree...

… he would have deserved it if he wasn’t trying hard. he was. the fact that he couldn’t do any better does not reflect poorly on his person or character.

booing should be reserved for poor people, not poor performances.

by kindred on Jul 13, 2009 8:58 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

although...

… i always felt that most of the boos Izzy heard were directed at TLR, not Izzy. that’s probably fine.

by kindred on Jul 13, 2009 9:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Does this mean you accept poor performance? No, obviously it doesn't, it also doesn't mean you can't boo the FO.

I respect your opinion, but I stand behind the people booing Izzy, he had a good early career in STL, but playing hurt helps no one. In my opinion, playing through an injury does not make you a good person, it makes you irrational and stubborn….

Fully agreed

I booed Izzy before he came in a game and he ended up blowing the save. Blew a save when I saw a game in Detroit, too. His later years with the team (minus 07) were not good.

Who else is getting these weird "dream" commercials?

Is that an ESPN360 thing? It’s really really annoying.

Albert Pujols does not have "down" years. He has "~6 WAR" years.

okay Yadi... calm Albert down.

He isn’t going into his full “wind-up” into his stance. He has to relax. Trust the hands!
