Albert Pujols doesn't need a mustache for good luck.

But sometimes mustaches wear Albert Pujols.

Albert Pujols does not have "down" years. He has "~6 WAR" years.

I wish that when Ankiel went up to bat, Pujols would throw his bat down the steps and tell him it’s pointless.

If not, Tony should call time, walk out there, and literally take the bat out of Ankiel’s hands when he has a 3-0 count. I’ll take my chances just seeing if the pitcher can throw three straight strikes

I like that broadcasters are showing OBP on the screen now

but it just makes me wish they would show SLG too. And then OPS! And wOBA! And on and on…
To the educated fan Colby’s OBP isn’t great, probably just below average. But a lot of people don’t know that.

Albert Pujols does not have "down" years. He has "~6 WAR" years.

I'm gonna say that this play is Tony's fault.

This small ball bullshit causes crap like this. You’re up by 5. Let your hitters hit. Stop being so obsessed about advancing the runs by giving up outs.

I'm fine with that logic.

Just swing already. Hey look at that! Skip got a hit and moved the runner without even bunting!

that should be 'runners' instead of 'runs'

I'm not sure the bunt had anything to do with the baserunning gaffe though...

…but still this was just dumb as shit. This is a good time to just pile on runs and you can’t do that bunting for no real reason.

Ryan took off because of a call by Tony

or a missed call by tony. Hoff never left until post-trapped in a rundown. The only way that happens is because TLR is trying to call smallball moves from the dugout.

Tony is good at getting people to play hard. But someone else should handle strategy.
