Of course, hope means being cut down on some street corner, as you run like mad, by a random bullet.
TLR must just figure we'd concede the game against the soft-tossing lefty

Monday off day
made it Carp’s regular start date and Carp will have a five days rest until his next start
haha great point
shouldn’t they switch it to Thompson now that the weather is a factor? I’d hate to blow carp’s start after 3 innings cause of a delay
Ah the old extra day of rest
always throws me off

For me, it boils down to
Whether or not they get their shit done.
Right now, I’m an intern with absolutely no work to do. I honestly have days where I browse the internet for 8 hours a day. When I DO have work to do, I get it done as quickly as possible

they are kinda the same way here at work… as long as i get my crap done on time and done well then they don’t care when i come in or leave (as long as im here 40 per week) and they don’t look over my shoulder all the time

Not a bad lineup on Tony's part
I might like to see Duncan instead, but I mean, c’mon. They both suck
Yeah...
I mean they’re both automatic outs at this point, so you may as well play the one that can defend.
V, b.
Well, you could make the argument
That you’d rather have the one that actually has the ability to get on base
a .336 OBP is not an automatic out.

Cards at Wrigley
In the TLR era, the Cards are 41-61 in Chicago vs. the Cubs. I’d give that cause for concern.
1-2 this year
2-4 in 2008
3-4 in 2007
2-8 in 2006
3-5 in 2005
5-4 in 2004 – that was the last winning season in Chicago.
That being said, I’m predicting a 3-1 weekend going into the ASB this year.

No
He’d be too much of a risk. We’ve been lucky to have Carp as healthy as he is.

Considering he's NEVER stayed healthy...
and the Cardinals have poor luck with injuries as it is, I’d say no.

This offseason
I think I make two ridiculous offers to Ben Sheets and Rich Harden…something like this:
League minimum salary for 5 years
Incentives for every:
5 games started = $2 million (that’s $12 if they start 30+ games)
Every start after 30 games = $1 million
im literally going to get nothing done here this afternoon

Is anyone really, really familiar with MS Word, specifically the Header/Page Number stuff? I have to ETD my dissertation and they’ve got some formatting requirements regarding the page numbers such that some stuff is to be in lower case Roman (i.e., i, ii, iii) and other stuff is to be in Arabic (1, 2, 3).
Anyway, everytime I think I’ve got it set up to be correct, it changes the entire document. I need to figure out how to keep the sections separate so the Headers aren’t linked. I’ve googled tutorials and junk, but can’t seem to get anything to work.
Any suggestions?

If Rich Harden gets another hit
I’m jumping through my TV and punching someone.

Sucks...
I have to work at 5, I thought that with a 1:20 start and Carp on the mound I would be able to watch the game and have an hour+ to spare. Now, we don’t start until 1:55 and the wind is blowing out to right center…are you kidding me? Gah!
Carp can we get the pitcher out for Christ's sakes?
Dick and Dunk, the answer to your pitcher's problems...
he's gutting it out it seems
but if he can give us 5 or 6 innings tied then I’ll take it… but its disappointing for sure

G.O.B. wanted me to get some work done today...
Every time I stop concentrating on the sticktv feed and do some work something good happens.
Albert Pujols does not have "down" years. He has "~6 WAR" years.
KEEP WORKIN'!

You know what AnKiel is gonna do...
and it won’t be either one of those.
TLR: Please bench DunKan and AnKiel!
No
Throw it at his bat. He swings in the same spot every time. Just throw it at his bat so he can hit a homer.
Ogle Torp?

They've learned to pop it up a bit more
and get it into the wind.
And in response to Dan, yes Luddy should have been tagging because if that hits the wall, he scores anyway.

Albert’s season highs for 2009 in any given game:
4 runs (once)
4 hits (twice)
2 homers (7 times)
7 RBI (once – also 6 once)
3 BB (3 times)
2 IBB (6 times)
NICE!

He should do something like that more often
even though it’s not really his style.
