Finally score a few runs...

and the Marlins manage to dink and dunk their way to a tie game. Not much is going this team’s way…

Outfielders have priority over infielders...

but in that scenario, when Brenadan Ryan is camped and actually knows how to catch a baseball, stumbling Chris Duncan needs to get out of the way…

it seems to me

that ryan has issues with calling for the ball. i mean, i think he might be calling for it but maybe he just isn’t loud enough or something. he seems to get into a lot of close calls with pop-ups.

I once interviewed Ozzie Smith and Vice Coleman. Oz: When anything is hit to left, Coleman backs up and starts yelling, Oz, Oz . . .

Not sure Coleman was better than Dunc – at least until Coleman matched wits with the tarp- and lost

Here's the bad news - This stretch of wretch has occurred against lousy teams when the Cards were at home.

Not exactly like the team is being outplayed by the Big Red Machine or the 28 Yankees. . .

The team has SOOOOOOOO many weaknesses, it hard to see any quick remedies. Even if. . .

. . . the impossible were to occur: Lud and Dunc begin to hit, KG of Memphis comes back and hits (baseballs), Lohse has a quick departure from the DL in full health, the team would still have gaping craters defensively, little speed, an anemic bench and an overworked, mediocre bullpen – which would be better than two-thirds of the rotation.

That’s the best-case scenario that I can fashion. Anyone care to create a better scenario?
