Boyer claimed off waivers
Fare thee well, Blaine Boyer... we hardly knew ye.
I don't know about anyone else, but I really miss Brian Barton. Maybe it was the studious, not-your-typical-ballplayer personality, maybe it was the hair, maybe things like those which leave me biased... but I felt he could have developed into more than just trade fodder for a crappy reliever. Yes, I said crappy. I know he might have had some potential-Duncan-reclaimation-project turnaround, but now he's with the Diamondbacks, so we gave a way a fairly decent right-handed batting speedy outfielder for nothing. OK, I know he was only going to be a 5th outfielder on our team, but... I dunno. I just liked the guy.

I agree completely
Barton was nothing great, but dealing him for a meidicore reliever was really stupid. I guess that did it because we had so much outfield depth already, but we could sure use a bat like Barton’s now.
