Sure its a small sample size, but you also have to realize he couldnt play for a lot of those games. Somethings not right, he needs to at least have a chance to get his groove back against Minor league pitching.

for some sad reason...

I am used to the cardinals losing to teams/pitchers who they shouldn’t… I’m pretty sure that the other team could have Josh Hamilton’s homerun derby pitcher going and the Cardinals would still lose

honestly

he’s not a major league player right now. he has been bad all year and worse after teh injury. he’s not right and shouldn’t be counted on :(

by kalmavet on Jun 1, 2009 11:21 PM EDT up reply actions

agreed

he hasn’t produced for this team since the first half of last season. he and duncan are really starting to become problems. add in a young rasmus and you are in big trouble. i don’t know, i really feel like if they don’t go out and get a bat soon this season will be over. i’m not one for making big moves for the sake of making moves but in this case, it seems glaring to me

No, sir, it did not.

Better luck tomorrow, although I’m not optimistic with PK starting.

But I will say this – I’m going to the game tomorrow, and the Birds are 6-1 over the past 1+ seasons when I’ve been at Busch. (And in the only loss, we got a run off Lidge in the 9th and damn near gave him his only blown save last year.) I’m The-Even-More-Secret-Weapon! I’ll see if I can work my magic with WonderBrad and our sketchy lineup.

something needs to be done about the O, but i'm not sure what the best options are

obviously Rick needs to go back on the DL, or to Memphis, or something. Thursty (at least in my opinion no matter how well he’s done the last two games. small sample size!) needs, should, go to Memphis with him. get Greene back up here at SS. call up Craig. platoon Boog & Barden in the IF with them & Skippy.

trade for DeRosa? sure, but not if the Tribe asks too much. sit Dunk maybe & ride StavInfection till he cools off? i never thought i’d say this but maybe, sure why not? i don’t know what the every day OF should be right now other than Lud & Colby starting every day. that’s why the match up genius get’s $4 million a year, and i do not. Volquez only went 1 inning tonight, the Cards should have won. yet they only scored 3 runs.

and if Peavy & Roy really are on the block, man, i can’t even wrap my head around those possibilities. the O needs fixed before any fantasies can come true.

What a day of TOTAL frustratons. Got kicked off audio - kept dropping the line and tried to . . .

log in too many times, so I got the shut out. Could not get on VEB and worse had to follow that gawdafwl game in silence. Can anyone remember a worse game by a play than Ank had today? No hits, DP, baserunning blunder and an error. Maybe time to re-invent himself as a pitcher. . . might be effective if he were to pitch to himself. .. . .
