I love this. Yet again another instance of Cardinals management leaving no stone unturned to find talent to help the organization. For a great read about Mike Marshall's pitching theories, read here.

wow, they really are concerned about their left-handed pitching deficit!

Huh

I had never even heard of Mike Marshall before, but this is all pretty of fascinating. Maybe the guy is on to something? That video of the pitching mechanics sure was weird to see.

yah...

but nearly all the pitchers who practice this lose a ton of their velocity. He’s only had one guy make the major leagues using his mechanics and he flamed out with the Rays back in the early part of this decade.

He’s got some interesting theories, but until he’s able to find a pitcher who can throw 90+ MPH consistently using his mechanics I will remain a skeptic.

FWIW, I’ve always thought that Mike Marshall was kind of a blowhard, look-at-me type of guy, so I don’t have a lot of respect for him.

Whoa.

Whoa.

Whoa.

“I had never even heard of Mike Marshall before.”

“I had never even heard of Mike Marshall before?”

“I had never even heard of Mike Marshall before!”

Holy effing s-word, Matty. Go to your local library right now. Get this. Read it.

Don’t come back until you do.

Apparently...

Joe had a tough inning yesterday….
I will always cheer for innovation, even if it ends up being folly.
