i dont know how any of you could possibly not receive the cards newsletter, but i just got one this morning that says mo will be online at 2 for you to ask him all the questions you like. he prob wont say anything about who he wants to trade for to fill in that hole at third, but its worth our while to prod him anyway.

missed the chat

would have been nice if someone could have asked about what the plan is for next year with the high number of guys that have to be added to the 40 man to avoid the rule V draft. Don’t know if there would have been a clear answer, but it would be nice to see if Mo would give an indication as to if some of those guys may be moved during the season to avoid losing them for next to nothing or having to put them on the 40 man with no intention of using them in STL next season.

how many spots do we need?

we’ll be losing a fair number of guys — all or some of Piniero, Wellemeyer, K. Greene, Glaus, Ankiel, Miller, LaRue — and I wouldn’t be surprised if guys like Thompson and Thurston are non-tendered. Honestly, if we leave a one or two Stavinoha-types unprotected it probably isn’t a great loss even if they are claimed.

i know we’ll be acquiring some new players as well, but probably not that many. so how many players are really at risk? who are we worried about?

..and Skippy can’t play second but with the way Tony just puts guys wherever he wants to and it magically seems to work I would not be surprised if he could turn into a gold glove 3b.

Are you saying that ALLCAPS is not playing up to his (hers? its?) moniker?

Is it also possible that ALLCAPS is being held hostage and is trying to alert us of this situation by strategically not using capitalized letters for every character?

Or may we have misunderstood the screen name altogether and ALLCAPS is simply a huge baseball hat collector?
