9th inning comments

Yesterday’s led to many, justifiably. But no cheers for Thompson today? The new member of the 9th inning committee, at least for games we think that we have won? By the way, sometimes the references here are beyond me, please remind me, who is Puppy Kicker? I think McClellan or Thompson, but I am guessing, and for the record, why Puppy Kicker?

by kkkkathmandubirdsview on Apr 7, 2009 11:39 PM EDT reply actions

PK is Thompson

He became PK by saying after a terrible outing in KC a few years ago that he “was going to find a puppy and kick it” or something to that effect.

by nmstar on Apr 7, 2009 11:43 PM EDT up reply actions

06/12/07
“I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this frustrated,” Thompson said. “I’m almost to the point I want to find a puppy and kick it pretty much. You’ve just got to learn from it. You’ve got to do something to get your mind off of it.”
