Do the game threads cause people problems with 500 comments?
They run up 1000 comment threads at LL all the time.
None of the ones this season have been troublesome
Wasn’t one up to like 700 yesterday?

Comment rates were higher yesterday than I remember in the past and one of the mods isn’t always around but we’ll try and have new threads up around 700-750 comments at the most.
only problem i have is loading a thread
once i try to load a thread with 300+ comments it takes ages to load, once it loads it is fine

9th inning comments
Yesterday’s led to many, justifiably. But no cheers for Thompson today? The new member of the 9th inning committee, at least for games we think that we have won? By the way, sometimes the references here are beyond me, please remind me, who is Puppy Kicker? I think McClellan or Thompson, but I am guessing, and for the record, why Puppy Kicker?
by kkkkathmandubirdsview on Apr 7, 2009 11:39 PM EDT reply actions
PK is Thompson
He became PK by saying after a terrible outing in KC a few years ago that he “was going to find a puppy and kick it” or something to that effect.
06/12/07
“I can’t remember the last time I’ve been this frustrated,” Thompson said. “I’m almost to the point I want to find a puppy and kick it pretty much. You’ve just got to learn from it. You’ve got to do something to get your mind off of it.”

“On-base percentage is great if you can score runs and do something with that on-base percentage,” Baker said. “Clogging up the bases isn’t that great to me.”
I guess we don’t have to worry about the Reds for awhile.

Awesome!
I have been searching, but cannot see what happened to Izzy this spring. I thought that he was with Hoffman in MIL, but not on the roster, transactions, or injuries. Is he done.

Izzy is on the DL
for Tampa Bay as a move to keep him on the roster but not have to play him.

With tongue firmly in cheek
MIL released Eric Gagne from his ML contract. As a loyal Canadian, shouldn`t we sign him and perish all thoughts about a 9th inning committee. Too bad how he imploded the last few years.

Yes
Guess one shouldn’t use the word “jacked” on a front page post because mine is jacked from that post downward. :)

I'm not seeing any of this
what browser are you using? I’m on Safari.
The only problem I ever saw was the inexplicable double-gamethread, which should be resolved now.
I'm using Firefox
No fanposts on main page and the main posts before the last game threads have the blue background like the sidebar. I’ve noticed the links people have in their sigs look different also. Time to get clockwerks on the case.
