no way, he was running at full speed & he still coudn't catch up to it
it hit the warning track on at line drive. the only way it’s caught is if the CF was playing really deep to begin with. which in that case with that batter up no team would have had their CF that deep.

no consistent offense = best offense in baseball

hey guys....
I’ve been watching the game and was content to not get on here and comment tonight (mainly because i banged myself up playing softball tonight and im sore), but I actually started to feel sorry for the nationals… anybody else ever feel the same way during a game like this?

not really, no
professionals get paid to play a game, if they get routed it’s their fault.
Now when Pujols managed to injure both the pitcher and the catcher in the same trip around the bases that one game in San Diego, that I felt bad about….
I understand that they are professionals...
but they suck so bad this year I don’t know

whoops
why's that?
I’m not trying to flame this person, but unreasonable bitching and negativity on game threads takes a lot of the fun out of reading them IMHO. This kind of stuff goes on every night and I just find it bizarre—if people get this stressed out over a team winning around 70% of its games, what do they do when the team is under .500?
You
are flaming him, whether or not you’re trying to. This sort of thing is just as negative. Keep it positive through example.
Classic underachiever.
I dunno
I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree on that, if somebody posts something on a public forum it should be fair game for discussion (myself included) when they turn out to be wrong. I’m not trying to flame or insult this person, so I apologize if I’m not artful enough to do this with tact, but that’s not my intent…..I’ve been on the internet long enough to have been thru more than enough flame wars, they’re quite boring.
in which case contact a mod, please
If you’ve ever been to Bleed Cubbie Blue, this is how their threads get out of control. Two OTs do not make a right.

"Why did I sign with the Nationals?" Tavarez said told a group of reporters. "When you go to a club at 4 in the morning, and you’re just waiting, waiting, a 600-pounder looks like J. Lo. And to me this is Jennifer Lopez right here. It’s 4 in the morning. Too much to drink. So, Nationals: Jennifer Lopez to me."
