What! You don't wanna watch the Yankees?

Lord knows everyone always wants to watch the Yankees! Unless the Red Sox are playing….. best of all is Red Sox – Yankees, then everybody wants to watch, all the time, I mean, that’s teh only reason all those other teams exist, right? Competition for the Yankees and Red Sox?

Honest assesment of our pitching this series

Ok… so i know it hasn’t been ideal, but realize that our pitching has given up approximately the same number of walks (actually 1 less, so far) and far less HR’s than the Cubs pitching.
And… we’ve still given up less runs overall than they have. And this Cubs team has basically been decided to be the NL representative for the WS…

My prediction:
If we can split the season series with the cubs, we will be at least the WC, and certainly a contender for the NL central title

well

he was shutdown for the first inning. I don’t know what his multiple inning splits look like but it could be that more than 1 inning is a bad idea with him.

thats what a lot of cubbies fans were saying last year

they really rode him down the stretch and he lost a lot of control in those starts he got shelled; leaving his slider up a bit and walking a lot of guys. Bit like tonight. Don’t forget he musta pitched 20-odd yesterday too.
