The Further Adventures of Game 12: Cardinals Still at Cubs

As you read this I am listening to the dulcet tones of Mr. Mike Shannon—I hope, for our sake, that watching it has been just as enjoyable to this point.

I hope, also, that Shannon has already given P.J. Walters a nickname.

Just because Barden bailed him out, and the Cubs failed to really punish Miller for his mistakes, doesn’t make it a smart move. The averages will work against him, and a manager has to be judged off of the averages. Individual circumstances are too inconsistent.

He has good velocity

his secondary pitches just struggle. If we could some how meld he and Walter together, we’d have the greatest pitcher ever.

Yeah

velocity isnt a problem, its fastball location and secondary pitches that he struggles with.

I'm pretty sure it was Sunday Night Baseball...

and he had brushed Edmonds back a few times. Jimmy then proceeded to take him deep twice (I think). Anyways, after the second one, Jimmy is circling the bases and Zambrano is just screaming at him like a mad man, and Edmonds has his head down paying no attention whatsoever. I’m pretty sure they said later that Jimmy had no clue Zambrano was even yelling at him…
