I just can't believe
Oswalt even attempted that pitch. Albert loves that pitch.
Classic underachiever.
lets hope oswalt goes alao

I can't believe i gave up a homerun to that punch and judy hitter-major league 2
I have to see this on video
looking at Gameday I can’t see how in the hell he pulled that pitch….did he kind of step in the bucket on the swing?
He just doesn't extend
his arms all the way. The HR the other night was hit similarly.
Classic underachiever.
almost as good

11 pitch AB
would be nice if the Cards would do that to the other teams’ starters in, say, the first three innings of the game…..
Yes, but then Boog comes up next

this was the undoing of the team last year
starters couldn’t go more than 5 or 6 every night, and the bullpen got way overexposed as a result
I'll take 5 innings of 0 run ball from Wainer any night over 7 innings of 2 run ball any night.
I was super impressed with Wainos start tonight. He battled through and kept putting up zeros even though he didn’t have his best stuff. Gutsy.

That sweet Dell laptop might be cheaper
But you still have to run Vista on it.
by cloistermaximus on Apr 11, 2009 6:18 PM EDT up reply actions
I tried to downgrade to XP when I got my new machine about 1 year ago.
I didn’t check to see if they made the drivers for it before I bought my computer. My bad, because they don’t and I’m forced to run Vista. Turns out Vista is a giant steaming pile of crap for an OS.
Windows can't build a secure final product.
I’m not willing to devote the time to lockdown my own machine to run one of their Beta programs. No siree, I like not having every worm on the internet.
Mac is no more secure than Windows...
Nobody bothers with attacking Macs since they are insignificant in terms of market share
one of these days
some pimply 15 year old in Eastern Europe is going to get a bee in his bonnet about something Steve Jobs did and put a stop to the whole Macs are more secure thing….
Couldn't disagree more.
Macs may not suffer the same rate of attacks but there are some inherent flaws in the way Windows goes about building their OS.
I loved it but my old PC just ran into the ground.
I’m getting by on Vista but I don’t trust it and I don’t like having to tell it that I actually want to do what I clicked on.
My work laptop is still XP Pro
and its fine, but the last laptop I bought was Vista. I had it for about two weeks before it became my wife’s laptop and I bought a mac. Couldn’t be happier with it.
hecanthithecanthithecanthithecanthit
You don't HAVE to
You can run whatever OS you want, right? BTW, I have yet to have any problems with Vista. It’s been fine for me.

Am I the only one that's mildly irritated that our
“long man”, and lord knows we HAD to have a long reliever, is pitching in the 8th of a meaningless game?

Let Franklin toss a pair.
Heck let some position player. In all seriousness, these are such ridiculously low leverage innings that anyone will suffice.
If Thompson was gonna make the team to be a long man, I’d rather have seen him in the 6th.
what?
this is exactly the role for him. pitch the last two innings, save Kinney, Franks, Kyle for tomorrow.
I guess I expect Thompson to toss more than a pair of innings
if he’s gonna be the long man. It’s not a big deal, I just worry about how many relievers TLR is using in these games.
no cus Tony is saving really good arms for when we need them.
I bet puppy kicker finishes off the game

Seriously... what were Rich Harden's parents thinking?!?!?!
Just checked the league leaders
Adenhart is the first name on the league ERA leaders. nice to see if only for a few more days.

10 run lead
and we cant leave Skippy at 2nd. Maybe to get some extra work.

Nope, you’re wrong, it was Thurston, with a 0.094, three times higher than the guy who hit a grand slam and a three run shot, and tied his career high in R’sBI in what is a HOF career.

Beautiful Game Tonight.
Wagonmaker really showed some guts and held the fort. It was like watching him impose his will against the laws of physics which this day were against him and his pitches.
He held back the enemy surge just long enough till the calvary could ride to the rescue in the form of The Mang himself “El Hombre”.
The Mang then set forth to wrecking the Stros with firey ropes of ballistic balls of firey leather and twine till none could deny the victory that was at hand this day.
