Let Franklin toss a pair.

Heck let some position player. In all seriousness, these are such ridiculously low leverage innings that anyone will suffice.

If Thompson was gonna make the team to be a long man, I’d rather have seen him in the 6th.

+1

although I do like to see the two teams beat up on each other… milwaukee’s bullpen is going to be sucky (and cubs’ gregg doesn’t seem to be all that)

Let's hope

that the Birds don’t get shut out tomorrow. The offense was inconsistent last year to where they had games like this (scoring 10+ runs) and then got shut out the next day. I hope it doesn’t become a pattern again this season.

Beautiful Game Tonight.

Wagonmaker really showed some guts and held the fort. It was like watching him impose his will against the laws of physics which this day were against him and his pitches.

He held back the enemy surge just long enough till the calvary could ride to the rescue in the form of The Mang himself “El Hombre”.

The Mang then set forth to wrecking the Stros with firey ropes of ballistic balls of firey leather and twine till none could deny the victory that was at hand this day.
