Fantasy Baseball Sites
I am playing fantasy baseball for the first time this year and am much too cheap to pay for Baseballhq.com or BaseballProspectus.com. Any help out there from fellow Cards fans on sites which you guys might recommend for accurate fantasy baseball news, rankings, stats, etc. that use sabermetric statistical analyses as a basis for player recommendations as opposed to just a "gut feel" or "man-love" for a particular player?
Or am I relegated to pay sites?
Thanks,
Go Cards and Go Blues!

Go to Fangraphs.com
They have updated Rotowire news on each of the players pages they include projections for all players from really smart people like Sean Smith, Bill James and Tom Tango. Furthermore they have a fantasy articles section in which they often detail certain players who have question marks around them.

Other resources
I usually buy 1 resource for my drafts (typically Baseball HQ’s Forecaster book for player analysis, although I don’t really use the strategy advise). I do free websites the rest of the year for team maintenance. There’s plenty of free content available on the web.
For general news and notes, checkout rotoworld.com. MLBTradeRumors.com may be useful.
But you specifically asked about advanced analysis… BaseballHQ has a free podcast each week that covers NL profiles, AL profiles, minor league minute and other features. Jeff Erickson of rotowire/XM fame has a free daily podcast of his program on BlogTalkRadio.com (I think that’s the URL).
If you’re in a keeper league, then following the minors is a must for sustained success. There’s some free content on Baseball Prospectus, Baseball America, ESPN, etc. ProjectProspect.com and MinorLeagueBall.com (SBNation partner site of VivaElBirdos) are very good free sites.
