Salary Cap Fantasy Game
After a couple of years off, I decided to play Sporting News' free Salary Cap fantasy game again this year. In looking around for a league to join, I decided to start a new one and remembered that there were a few leagues started here last year. I set the league to not allow for purchased trades so it will cost you nothing but time.
So, anyone who would like to play a no purchased trades salary cap game, go to the sporting news site and look for the Viva El Birdos league. The password is vivaelbirdos.

9 players, $35M budget to start
This is not a rotisserie league. Everyone has access to the same players (we could all buy Albert, for instance, if you have the money). Players earn different points for singles, doubles, rbis, etc., lose points for outs and strikeouts. Each team must have three pitchers, MI, CI, C, DH, 2OF’s.
I would guess that most folks on here would rather play rotisserie or head-to-head (actually my favorite), but, to me, this type game takes less of my time and that’s something I don’t have in abundance these days. You get two trades per week (you can save them up), and the game is actually split into two seasons, pre- and post- All Star game.
