Cub fans name their baby daughter Addison N. Clark - the address of Wrigley Field
Their son could be named Broadway N. Clark if they were Cardinals fans.
But Cards fans wouldn't do that.

Wow.
If I’m not mistaken, they have a gigantic lake next to town AS WELL AS a river running through that town.
Hopefully there are some White Sox fans nearby that have the common sense to throw these parents overboard, so to say.
Just absolutely . . . idiotic. Kinda like the parents from Auburn, AL who thought it was a wise idea to name their son Tebow.

What happens if this baby becomes a Cardinals fan?
or worse…a White Sox fan?

This isn't about the baby . . .
who had no choice in the matter.
This is about the moronic parents who thought that name was appropriate.

I don't get the big deal
Addison is a popular girls name now. Their last name was clark.
I doubt this is uncommon in CHicagoland. I know a couple whose first kid was named Clark; their 2nd kid was a girl and they liked the name Addison.

I agree
most of her life she will probably be known as Addie anyway, and if not , so what?
Broadway N Clark would have been a much worse name anyway…especially if it were a girl.

I agree as well
Addison’s a cute name. Now, I hope the “N” isn’t JUST an initial, because if it is, that’s kinda lame, but this is still nothing major.
Afterall, there are celebrities out there naming their kids things like “Apple” and there was a huge revival of the name “Emma” after Rachel on Friends named her daughter that, so it’s not like there aren’t far worse names out there and it’s not like pop culture hasn’t had an impact upon names in the past.
It’s a fitting tribute to a really cool stadium that for anyone who’s not a Cubs fan will hardly be noticeable unless the new little girl chooses to point it out to people.

I see nothing wrong...
Then again I might be biased when it comes to unusual names.
