I'm starting a yahoo fantasy baseball league for those who are interested. I'd need 8-12 teams. Completely free. Comment if you're interested and I'll set it up.

I'm interested

I only am who I am because I was born that way. I have a gift and I'm trying to not be selfish about it, but to use it, OK? Jealousy will get you nowhere!

I'd be interested

I’ve done random yahoo leagues the past few years but it would be nice to be in one where everyone stays interested throughout the season.

I'm in

I’m definitely interested in joining if it is a roto league, and preferably at least 12 teams.

Heres the link for the link for the league

Right now the draft scheduled for March 1 at 12:15 which will probably change if we don’t have enough teams by then. I can’t invite you into the league until you give me your yahoo email address.

league

Hey joeybombs, I don’t think that link will work for joining. You could just post the league id# (not the name) and the password here in the thread if you want.

Yea I guess I can do that.

Password: cardinals

Awesome. I'm in...

unless the league settings are really weird. roto, head to head, whatever is good for me. Wonder if there’s a fantasy league out there that uses sabremetrics. You could actually draft with defensive ability in mind.

For those of you who haven't joined yet

The league is opened and you can join anytime now.

For those of you who have joined, is you would post your team name on here so I know who has joined, although some of them are obvious.

My team’s called the “Non-roster ingrates”.

My team is set up

Due to a sudden absence of original thought, we will be called the Tupelo Tsunami. I was wondering (because I haven’t been in anything but a head-to-head league in a while) do the three pitcher spots (not starter or reliever) have to be middle relievers or can they be any pitcher? And I guess the 5 bench spots can be any position- hitters or pitchers?

Also, I saw there was a max innings setting, but is there a minimum innings to qualify setting to keep someone from using a guy with one inning to win ERA and WHIP? Not that I’m looking for loopholes or anything…

The three P spots can be used for any type of pitcher, definitely don’t have to be MR’s. There is usually no min IP setting in roto leagues. The fact that you would come in dead last in wins, saves and K’s more than offsets you getting 1st in ERA and WHIP.

Oh, sorry – yeah, the bench spots can be distributed however you want between hitters and pitchers.

Just saw this

I was in the VEB league last year. Can I still sign up here?

defy, cards, defy. hey logic --- you suck.

we should just increase the league size – the more depth the more fun, in my opinion. and since it’s roto we don’t need to have an even number of teams.

does that draft time work for everybody?

March 1 12:15
I just did it to give us time to fill the league, but that time works for me.
