not much to recommend the Cardinals scouts there
other than thank GOD Kansas City’s scouts were so much dumber than ours.

I heard many scouts were wary of his "pear-shaped body"
and his propensity to chubbiness. But evidently (I read somewhere) he found a good trainer and made himself into a god through sheer determination.

With Pujols hitting for so much power at 17 and 18 in high school/American Legion ball 12 years ago, a homer every two games, and two RBIs per game, that should help refute the people who spread steroids rumors about him.
