"On Tuesday, St. Louis Cardinals second base prospect Jarrett Hoffpauir became a member of the Toronto Blue Jays when he was claimed off waivers. The Cardinals were attempting to remove the 26-year-old from their 40-man roster."

Too bad. I liked Hoffy.

I liked him too.

I’ll miss him.

You know, I actually did start that fanpost

I chose Scott Rolen first (your Finn comment made me think of it). Holy fuck, it was a lot of work. I saved it but it’s not ready for publishing. Cause, you know, I’m not a writer.

But he does have a lot of “people conflict” in his chart. And lots of Pluto aspects.

Awww, shucks. I haven't been keeping up with all the comments.

I’m trying to get it all done tonight. I’ve been on here for at least an hour, I think…

Yeah, I hate how they archive shit after, like, 2 days

(I know I’m exaggerating, but only a little bit)

More PAs for Descalso in Memphis.

I thought Hoff would have made a good platoon partner for Skip, but then we went out and acquired Lugo. So, there isn’t really a place for Hoff in the organization any longer. I wish him the best of luck in the Toronto system.

there's no one like The Hoff

his accent has more upside than Colby’s

Yeah

I still think he could turn into a righty Schu (2B variety) with a bit more pop (and perhaps a slightly weaker glove), he had a really solid year with the bat in 2009. Just seems to be someone the org were never that high on. Still, in the great scheme of things, he’s probably going to be no more than a Brian Barden-type, and we’ve got plenty of those. It’s a shame we f***ed up the roster so much this year that we had to give him (and Perdomo) away for free. Keeping Scherer on the 40 man really was a waste of time, and I still think Boyer should’ve been given a bit more time.

found it!

on VEB, not P-D

Pujols, in the on-deck circle, summoned Hoffpauir before the latter faced off against lefthander Daniel Ray Herrera.
"He told me to relax, get a pitch to hit and punch it the other way," said the 26-year-old Hoffpauir. "Albert said (Herrera’s) changeup was his best pitch."
[…] The pitch to Hoffpauir was a changeup, just as Pujols had said. "That’s why he’s so good. That’s why he’s Albert," Hoffpauir said.

There was no question that Hoffpauir was nervous in his debut. "I think my knees were touching each other, I was shaking so hard," he said.

I told you all not to hassle the Hoff.

Now he’s fucking Canadian. I hope you’re all pleased.
