Gladwell article on concussion research
All,
Here's an engaging and interesting article on concussion research that's worth knowing about next time you're offered a contract as Yadi's replacement. Also, guaranteed to make you NOT love Michael Vick.
Article is from The New Yorker, by Malcom Gladwell - same guy who wrote "Outliers", which I've seen referenced here a few times.

This was an excellent article
I can’t watch football anymore. I just keep thinking about all the damage people are doing to their bodies. It really is like watching a war. I have even thought that this should be the way nations/cultures settle differences instead of a “sport”.
Football is easy for me to give up. It wouldn’t be hard for me to put football in the same category as dog fighting.
If they were to say the same thing about baseball, I would be in a quandry. I hope the level of subconcussive hits is no where near enough to cause the kind of trauma referenced in that article.
Certainly fewer players in baseball deal with concussions.
And I agree with you about football. It’s hard to watch anymore.
Now with extra feisty!
