I guess I didn't see why signing neither of them.

the money? I still say we really should try hard to get Holliday.

Because, using those projecitons

Hollday is only worth 86 million over 5 years. I’m gonna bet he’ll get significantly more than that in free agency.

Two Words

Scott Freakin’ Boras!! I love all of the articles cropping up in blogs and newpapers with all of the “inside information” on where Holliday wants to play next year. Evidently, for the Yankees, Mets, Angels, Dodgers, or Giants…and if all of that falls through, then maybe the Cardinals. It is interesting how they never name the source and the people writing this tripe all seem to be from New York. (And let me guess…the unnamed source could not possibly be greediest man alive, Scott Boras.) Of course not, because Holliday is Cardinal property until a few weeks after the world series and he cannot negotiate with other teams until then, otherwise, that would be tampering…Although we all know Selig would never stand up to those big media market teams enough to penalize them. Boras is trying to get the bidding off to a rousing start. He is already floating his believe that Holliday is in line for Texiera money. (8 years and $160,000,000.00) It sure looks like a lot of money when you write it that way.) I thought I made a decent living until I realized that he is getting 2000 years of my salary and MEAL MONEY and he only works 6-7 months per year. Oh, and with endorsements…much more.

Prozac break……….

Ok, I like Holliday, but not more than 5 years and not more than 18 mil per year. Otherwise, let him walk. (In fact, if I was GM, that may even still be too rich for my blood.) If he walks, he will be the most booed player in MLB when he comes to STL.

How about handin' me another helpin' of those mashed taters...thank you very much!
