Not that Corky...worse
Cork Simpson, Hall of Fame sports writer, has just insulted the best leadoff hitter who ever lived - let alone in the live ball era. And, he is the only guy who didn't vote for Henderson. Whether your a fan of Henderson or not his accomplishments cannot be denied. His Vote

I hope I am reading that right and he doesn’t really have a vote.
Not voting for Rickey is inexcusable.
Don Mattingly…well he did emphasize that he played all 14 years as a Yankee. Maybe he thinks that is qualification enough.
Tommy John…well hell, if you pitch 26 years in the big leagues you sure the hell better win 288 games.
Matt Williams? It is crazy enough to vote for any of these players over Rickey, but Matt Williams?

Yeah
Sick isn’t it? I mean part of me kind feels like maybe he’s just an old bird with only a couple marbles left and this was simply a gross oversight. However, the cynical part of me thinks maybe Henderson “big leagued” him once when he was a day-to-day sports writer (He worked for the Tucson Citizen Daily — maybe Henderson ignored him during ST???) and this is his revenge. I dunno…seems from his article in the link that he was a big Cards fan back in the day — not sure Cards fandom wants to claim him though. Either way sad his vote counts.

I found his reasoning worse than his no vote
he said something like he didn’t really research Rickey and, if he had, he probably would have voted for him. It’s a disgrace to the Hall, to say nothing of Rickey, that this man is allowed to vote.
