Tony apparently accidentally subbed out
the wrong guy (left Ankiel in, took out Ludwick).
So, now Ludwick has to come out and Ankiel is coming out of the clubhouse to get back in the game and play CF.

I don’t remember (or maybe I’m just trying to forget) is Franklin under contract for next year? If so, can we petition Mo to order Tony to NOT use him after the 7th inning and never for more than one inning?
by ArkansasTravs on Sep 6, 2008 12:01 AM EDT up reply actions
Man the Cards have just blown it badly
The Cubs lose their 6th game in a row tonight and the Brewers had lost 4 in a row before tonight. If they could have put together some type of winning streak here, even the division could still be up for grabs considering we play the Cubs 6 more times. I know there really wasn’t much available and teams were asking too much, but if Mo could have picked up a good closer for the stretch run here, I think we would be in the race big time right now. But nope not to be.
I bet Mo is really wishing he would have pulled the trigger for some type of move at the deadline now for a closer. Maybe if we are in this position next year…he will be more open to get an “impact player” at the deadline to help the team seeing what has happened this season. Watching his team completely blow any chance of the post season when the teams above them were almost begging them to get back in the race.
We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
Question
I was outside feeding the cat and locking up for the night when the blown bunt happened. Just so I can fairly spread my anger amongst all those responsible for the 11th inning meltdown, what happened?
glaus just didn't pick it up
he thought it would roll foul, but it stopped on the line. He could have had the out at first.
the ******* plane has crashed into the mountain.
Yeah
if he had simply just picked it up the moment he got it, the runner at 1st would have been out by 20 feet.
