it's odd that Aroyo leads the Reds in wins

when he’s clearly not the best pitcher on the team.

And Mizzou doesn’t play this week. And no NFL team from Missouri has won this year…

look at it this way, you’ve just finished the summer watching a pro team with a winning record, you won’t get that from the fall/winter.

actually

i was unnecessarily bitter. I wasn’t able to watch the brewers play the cubs, so i assumed I’d be blacked out of the cards-reds, but the cards game seems to be working.

Still hate the idea of blackouts, and poetry is art, after all.

I think Miles

is really going to be overshadowed when it comes to overall improvement from ‘07. A lot of the facets in the game aren’t something stats can cover, and generally (from what you said, to base running, to perfecting his drag bunt) he’s really came along this year. Still a weak hitter with bad range in the field, but improved.

it’s not an overhaul. it’s keeping his arm up and lose some of that negative weight he’s put on the past two years.

“keep your arm up and lose weight” is a common prescription not an overhaul.

watch the 9th inning again

his arm is all over the place and release point is too.

he does need to become more mechanical. and since he was with the canes, he’s not adding bulk, but negative weight.

well that was disappointing

he didn’t say anything news worth.

he’ll work on getting a better MI that can actually hit. and if he can’t do that, he’ll get two guys who play really good D & he’ll get “the impact bat Tony wants another way.”

he’ll work on the left side of the pen.

he’ll try & keep both LOOP & Lohse, but realistically he can probably only keep one. television own Pat Parris asked if he’s rather keep LOOP since LOOP has said he wants to stay & his agent isn’t Scott Boris, and MO, ever the politician said agents don’t really matter & he’ll be happy with either one.

they will have much better back up plans next year & are not counting on any injured pitcher or player to be ready for opening day next season. especially Carp.

he also wants FNSMW to trade Jimmy “The Cat” Hayes

other than that, not much. unless i missed something & someone else who saw it can fill in the blanks.

pretty much what the base wants anyways.

all in all. I mean, you can fringe around on the details but that’s pretty much how ’09 shapes up.

Any bat we get needs to be able to hit LHP worth a shit. We can’t continue to add to a sore spot we have.

I don’t even have an issue going after an impact bat in the OF, sure we have a surplus, but it’s a brittle one (injuries) and if we go after one early, we can then trade surplus in confidence. If we go with Loop, or Lohse, we need more offense to give them a fighting chance when they’re off.

Who knows about the MI, we’re either going to over spend, or we’re going to be quite disappointed.

Hanely Ramirez played two whole games for the sawx in 05 before he was traded to the Fish

he only had two at bats & struck out both times.

he’s got a sick glove at SS (true he only has a .966 fielding percentage so there is room for improvement) and can absolutely kill the ball. he’s a member of the 30-30-30 club.(HR’s, Doubles, Steals) and he plays a 150 + games a season.
