Who was it that Tony pulled last week, nearly identical situation, and got blasted.
I made the point that had he left him in, he’d have gotten criticized for that too. Looks like I was right.
Those two runs likely won’t make the difference. This game was decided by the 5th inning, when we kept choking with runners on, and Pujols gave them #3. It’s games like this that drive me nuts about Albert. And yes, I know they don’t happen often, just seems more frequent this year.

Disagree.....
When the best player in baseball pops up with a guy on 3rd and 1 out, I feel I can be critical. Especially when the pitch was grooved.
I know he isn’t perfect, but like I said, he has “failed to come through” more often this year then I can remember in the past. And we probably need him more this year.

I didn't concede it.....
But you don’t get a billion chances against a good team. We pounded out some hits, had some runners on, and blew scoring chances multiple times. We let their #2 SP off the hook, that is something you can’t do. I saw a deflated team.
