Chris Lambert watch:
Former Cardinals 1st round pick, making his Major League debut for the Detroit Tigers…
1IP, 1K, 0R, 0H, 9 pitches. Fastball is topping out at 90, so far.
The Tigers have already won that trade.

LOL
I have a picture I took of Friday nights lineup, after all the changes once we were up big. At the time, our lineup was this:
Skip CF
Miles SS
Mather RF
LaRue C
Barton LF
Lopez 3B
Molina 1B
Pineiro P
Izturis SS
How scary would THAT be if it were our starting lineup?

Why can't we...
Take a look at the brew and cubbies schedule and find some common teams they’re going to play against.
Then get aligned with that team (or teams) and send them guys like Phelps, Marti and a few others to help them win over waivers. Or even a pitcher or two. it can be worked out as a gentlemans agreement and a rest of the year “hands on showcase/rental”, we’ll get them back at the end of the year, but maybe they’ll actually field a team that could possibly give those two some hell.
Of course someone else could get in the way on the waiver line, but it could be pulled back anyhow. It’ll get some Memphis guys some ML experience as well, even if it wasn’t with us.

Things that are of equal importance
Al Hrabosky: Skip Schumaker has the best average of a leadoff hitter.
Me: When I was 5 my Kindergarten teacher thought I was developmentally challenged because I hated cutting and coloring.
Note to Al: If Schumaker was hitting .300 and took ZERO walks that wouldn’t be any good. YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE WRONG STAT.

Anyone but Albert
The game just started, but it already seems like the Brewers will be content to pitch around Albert, no matter the circumstances (except for bases loaded). Someone is going to have to step up and drive in some runs. I don’t think the Brewers are going to let El Hombre beat them this series. We need huge contributions from Luddy, Troy, and Ank.

Good effort
I think I could’ve crab-walked backwards to first faster than Aaron.

Maybe
Maybe Prince Fielder told Aaron Miles he looked like a baby and to get in his belly. It wasn’t a hit and run. It was survival.

Tony is a hit and run guy... Some times it works.. some times it does not...

oh come on
I’m all for the Tony defense injecting itself, but Welly was up to bat, not Yadi, not Kennedy (where in both cases it makes some merit of sense).
this was just dumb, and even worse by effort of getting back to 1st

Is it just me
Or does Tony seem to wait to get extra super aggressive at the plate and on the bases until the biggest games of the year?
