That's actually not a terrible Braves lineup
5 good major league players in Escobar, Jones, McCann, Johnson and Francoeur. Kotsay isn’t bad either. This is anything but a cakewalk.

what is going on with Lohse's suspension?
I know that he is being suspended, and that he is appealing the suspension, but how long will the suspension be, and how likely is the suspension to go through?

Its a trend for this team, not only that but the bottom of the lineups for everyone we face seems to
fare pretty good against Cards pitching. Im sure it has something to do with Duncan’s philosophy for the bottom of the lineup, because every team sure seems to be on base alot against the Cards. Ive noticed it quite a bit this year.

upon further review,
he’s thrown 100 pitches in three of his last five starts
and made it into the seventh inning in four of his last five.
we’ll see if cox will push him in a close game…
his overall numbers in his starts from this year were a bit skewed, as he was transitioning from the bullpen earlier in the year, slowly working up his pitch count…

Wait, why?
I want the Phils to win the EAST, just so that Fox has to deal with no New York teams and no Boston in the playoffs.

actually...
I guarantee they’d fine some sort of BS Joba Chamberlain news to cover instead that would overshadow the playoffs

I was more worried about the wildcard.
I didn’t think about Fox not having to deal with any new york teams. Heads would literally explode. But hey, maybe I’m just a dodger’s fan!
/I’m not really a dodger’s fan.

i kind of like the dodgers, as far as baseball organizations go, or whatever.
and i hate all philadelphia sports teams, almost as much as chicago sports teams.
there's like a 96% chance the nl central gets the wild card

No Chicago and no California teams
would be nice too, but the latter, at least, ain’t gonna happen.
by StanTheManFan on Aug 23, 2008 5:36 PM EDT up reply actions
Can you imagine if Milwaukee and St. Louis
swept the final 9 meetings between themselves and Chicago and the Cubs were eliminated from the playoffs?
Fox would have to deal with:
Philadelphia
St. Louis
Milwaukee
Arizona
Tampa Bay
Minnesota
Chicago
Anaheim
Joe Buck would refuse to leave the football broadcasts.

Those are the insights
that made HL so sorely missed here… :-)
I concur wholeheartedly…
"Crud, does that booger-eating spaz make me wanna puke!" - Tanner Boyle
100 pitches for Campillo
107 is his high this year. that was his last start.
i’m guessing he’s done though
would like to see
him face Pujols again, though…
I have a love/hate relationship with the Cardinals' middle relief corps.
Yahoo Sports Hot or Not
is an idiot. Piniero is listed as one of the hot pitchers. Fair enough, Two wins over one week will put you up there. But they have Ludwick listed as a Not Hot Hitter, with his paltry .340 average, 9 runs and 2 HRs listed. How is he Not Hot again over the last week? Or is just a fantasy thing where the players are Hot or Not depending on fantasy drafts and teams and such?
I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
Joel has more flair
than Ludwick, clearly.
I have a love/hate relationship with the Cardinals' middle relief corps.
I imagine
since it is weekly, that it is most important to fantasy readers.

Quick question

What does the LI and RE stats stand for?
Testicle-exploding shit storm, circa 7/12/08 - We will never forget!
yep
I found the glossary right after I poster that.
LI (leverage index): A measure of how important a particular situation is in a baseball game depending on the inning, score, outs, and number of players on base, created by Tom Tango.

yeah can't ask for much more than that
also no HR’s… only 2 walks (one of which was basically intentional to francouer), a bunch of ground balls, i’d say he did pretty well.
