Anyone know what he throws? Is he another Reyes/Hirsh type?

I hope a grown man did not just say "woot"

but any way let me know what is said in the interview, because I am stuck with the boring Phillies announcers

what the hell?

so, did good Ole Bud put the squeeze on Billy Bean to just give away Harden?

i’‘m betting yes. with the impending sale of the team, and every thing that comes with it, i’m willing to bet there was some under the table shenanigans.

great to see LUD & ANK go yard. Joel looks pretty good too. shocking

I'm going to go try to find a puppy and kick it. - Brad Thompson AND THAT'S A WINNER!

He let a known quantity go.

MO

Q:) Brewers and Cubs make your moves different?

A:) No we are exploring a lot of different options.

Q;) Some deal that may be close?

A:) No. But the phones are ring a lot more…

Q.) What are you looking for in Mulders start

A.) His arms not falling off?...

Q.) Good news on Wainwright and Carp?

A.) Very realistic to be back by the end of Aug.

by Evilfrog on Jul 8, 2008 8:41 PM EDT reply actions

it's a little adlib

He said they were looking to see if they could get innings out of Mulder. Not to see if he’s arms are falling off.

by Evilfrog on Jul 8, 2008 8:44 PM EDT up reply actions

mo

no pressure to make a move. and approach has not changed.

a move is not on the horizon.

feels good about mulder.

carp and wainwright on a realistic track to be back by august 1st.

all the answers you wanna here.

well

if Carpenter comes back effective, we are in the hunt

strikeouts from left-center

by Cards Fan in Chitown on Jul 8, 2008 8:43 PM EDT up reply actions

But haven't we heard this the last two years?

2006: “Mulder is rehabbing and if he comes back, it’s like we got a pitcher at the deadline!”
2007: “Carpenter’s bone spurs are gone and if he comes back, we’ve got an Ace at the deadline. And Don’t forget Mulder! He’s surgery has healed. We get 2 great pitchers back.”
2008: “Carpenter and Wainwright are healing real well, Mulder is back already! It’s like getting 3 Aces at once!”

Same script, new actors, new season. It’s like Law and Order.

that we still won the world series in ‘06

Wanted to hear?

Maybe more like ‘expected to hear’.

They need some offense more than they need a starting pitcher but I don’t expect them to really make any moves from outside the organization.

I hope he doesn't make some big trade.

A LOOGY, fine. But I really don’t want to give up any good prospects right now. We’re set up really nicely for ‘09 with our stockpile.

No, it's not. But it is a pretty nice collection of talent.

And light-years ahead of what it was a few years ago. The last thing i want to see is 3 of our top-10 prospects turned for a rental or moderate-high end, expensive bat. That would screw our future quite badly.

not sure i understand

I can't believe i gave up a homerun to that punch and judy hitter-major league 2

was talking about alternative energies, that after he’s gone, there’ll be no coal or gasoline, or something like that

So is the game plan to still go with Franklin in the 9th?

Or is Izzy officially deemed ‘better’ now?
