Mets Fans

Was it just me or were the fans at Shea last night more unruly than usual?

It really is embarrassing to watch games on TV and realize what players in other Major League parks have to go through.

I mean it is New York and all, but I must say that I am proud to be a part of the greatest fans in Major League baseball.

Congratulations on our classy hard-fought win, everyone go have a beer

Yeah, Mets fans are annoying

but I usually hit them with “I can’t hear you for the echo of you crying from two years ago when Beltran’s bat was on his shoulders.”

I thought

it was sad 2 years ago when this dad who was holding his kid in his arms was crying and the kid was crying too. Also there was a fan with mets face paint that was crying and the paint was running down his face. Boo Hoo

The Mets

Fans at Shea where pretty unruly last night but I have to say that some of the Cardinals fans that were sitting behind me were not doing anything to quell them. In a tight game where combacks happen every other inning, it is easy to let your emotions run a little out of control. I am happy to say though that the Mets fans next to me were very knowledgeable and polite.

I have not been to Shea

In years. I rather avoid the hole. I may have to make a trip to see the new yard at some point. The last time I was there I got pelted with pretzels and hot dog bits in a game the Cards lost. All I was doing was sitting there watcing the game with my wife. I was wearing a Redbird hat, but I was not making an ass of myself. Hell the Cards were losing. I use to live about 45 mins from Shea, and use to go to alot of Jet games. Jet fans are the same way.

Yankee/Giant fans are much more reasonable than Met/Jet fans. If you are from the NYC area I think you would agree with that.

i was there

It was pretty sweet. And actually, the fans were pretty much what you’d like from an opposing team; hostile, but not out of line. Playing on the road is tough, the mets and cardinals have some history, and both teams’ fans are passionate. What more could you want?

The guys next to us kicked ass

I was at the game on friday night

And it was pretty crazy how annoying the Mets fan were. The girl behind me screamed every 3 seconds as loudly as possible and kept yelling “Go Mikey” for Pelfrey I guess. My girlfriend actually got pissed off and told her to stop screaming in her ear. Obviously, the game sucked, the atmosphere sucked and so did the Cards
