First+ Yanks get Nady and Marte

Jose Tabata looks like the centerpiece.

Is very bad to steal A-Pu's rum...is very bad.

A Reyes anyone?

This one appears to be just about over

I’d once again like to thank TLR and staff for giving Boggs this start, despite the fact that these same Mets destroyed him his last time out. Bravo.

Boggs

Should be our BP pitcher.

win or lose

well, it would be lose right now

i want to see 3 runs…make it happen

irene

boggs just upped his era

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, perhaps you haven't grasped the situation!

I figured we needed about 7 to win this one

might as well go ahead and make it 8. The offense just has to explode sometime, might as well be in the next inning

Might as well

top of the order’s up.

by liam on Jul 25, 2008 8:38 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

No it doesn't

unless the Padres are coming to town.

This team’s morale is so low right now, I’m sure a handful of them have already given up on the season.

miracle comeback win would get them back on track

cant let them keep scoring though

Mike Pelfrey is a good pitcher

he won’t give up 6 runs

it doesn't have to be only Pelfry

i will settle for it happening to the bullpen too

You think the team has given up on the season?

This team won’t give up.

gonna need more franklins to get through this one.

I'm glad Tatis struck out

I almost forgot to take my one-a-day vitamin today!

Silver lining

Atleast our bullpen can’t blow this one :)

even though I dislike them alot more than I used to because of last night

I’ll be happy to see the Cubs lose sole possession of first place tonight

Brew Crew looks like division winners

their schedule is much easier. Cubbies could be in a fight for the wild card now

and

their team is better to boot

Randy Flores

I can’t wait for your DFA

boo cubs, hooray beer

by Raconteur on Jul 25, 2008 8:44 PM EDT   0 recs

why?

this is a huge improvement over his last outing against the Mets

by vances law on Jul 25, 2008 8:45 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

It's still

just his 3rd full season of pro ball.

by liam on Jul 25, 2008 8:46 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

it isn't his fault he was rushed before he was ready

and did anyone really think he was ready? I doubt the Cards even thought that.

by mattyfrommo on Jul 25, 2008 8:47 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Well

I don’t want him DFA’d or anything like that. Just not back this year.

by Hardcore Legend on Jul 25, 2008 8:47 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Stoke of Midnight

Anyone else feel like time has run out on this Cinderella season? I’m all for making some moves to improve this year’s chances, but not at the cost of future success.

Go crazy folks, go crazy!

by WizardofOz on Jul 25, 2008 8:44 PM EDT   0 recs

Yes

I hope they make no moves for this year now. I’d rather see them move parts that won’t be back next year and get ready for 2009.

by Hardcore Legend on Jul 25, 2008 8:45 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Agreed

Or sign someone like bonds or Freddie Garcia, assuming his arm is still attached to his body, that will not cost us anything but some cash.

Go crazy folks, go crazy!

problem is

where to?

I think its a little early to sell, but I think MO has to at least listen to some offers for guys like that.

Go crazy folks, go crazy!

Mets won't make the playoffs

they aren’t THIS good. The Phillies are a better team and the Marlins are young/talented enough to bounce the Mets.

by Hardcore Legend on Jul 25, 2008 8:45 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

As long as it doesn't include the cubs, I am ok with it.

Just don’t want us to do a stupid rental trade hoping to salvage this season.

With apologies to John Belushi and Animal House:

Over? Did you say “over”? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

What the hell happened to the VEB I used to know? Where’s the spirit? Where’s the guts, huh? “Ooh, we’re afraid to depressed to cheer for the Cards, we might get in trouble.”

Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I’m not gonna take this. The Cubs, they’re dead ! Brewers, dead! Niedermeyer…

"Is this Heaven?"
"No, it;s Iowa."
"I could've sworn it was Heaven."

The tommy john surgery will not be done unless he blows out his arm.

by liam on Jul 25, 2008 9:01 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

So very, very

bad. Gotta move him out of the #3 slot until he gets whatever this is corrected.

by Hardcore Legend on Jul 25, 2008 8:52 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Mo, get on the phone and see what you can get for Ludwick

his value will never be higher.

Pujols absolutely hates baseball right now

you can see it.

He looks like a beaten man.

boo cubs, hooray beer

by Raconteur on Jul 25, 2008 8:52 PM EDT   0 recs

That's actually true

he looks like he’s given up. I’d be pretty down too if I had to watch this bullpen in person.

by Hardcore Legend on Jul 25, 2008 8:53 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

IF they continue to fall out of this

Besides selling Lohse and Ludwick, they should have Pujols get that TJ surgery.

Give him some time away from the game, and let him rest up for a run at this thing in 09 when our chances look much brighter.

boo cubs, hooray beer

by Raconteur on Jul 25, 2008 8:54 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Why Ludwick?

I see no reason to move him.

by DriverZn on Jul 25, 2008 8:55 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Because I don't believe Ryan Ludwick is quite this good

and his value is incredibly high right now.

boo cubs, hooray beer

by Raconteur on Jul 25, 2008 8:56 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Even if he is this good...

he’s not really even a full time starter on the team. Why not move him, if you aren’t always going to play him?

And if he’s not good, then definitely sell when his value is the most.

by DiscoJer on Jul 25, 2008 9:19 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

He's probably not too happy with ownership right now either

for not trying to fix anything before the Brewers series.
