I’d once again like to thank TLR and staff for giving Boggs this start, despite the fact that these same Mets destroyed him his last time out. Bravo.

That just adds to his value...

If Ludwick really is this good, he’s largely wasted here, because he won’t even be a starter. He’ll likely still platoon with Skippy and Duncan next year, even if he hits.

If he’s not really this good, move him now while he has value.

by DiscoJer on Jul 25, 2008 9:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Ludwick’s valuable and under team control—a good part of next year’s success; Looper’s value can’t be very high in his walk year the way he’s been pitching lately.

we have had a sweep recently and havent fared too bad against the opponents, save MIL, recently. We just seem to be on the schnide lately. As others have said, this is what happens...

when you have a team full of overachievers who give 110% every night. When they crash, they crash hard. Morale drops, they no longer believe in themselves and their ability to win every night and things go down hill from there. It also doesn’t help that a ton of their losses are of the heartbreaking fashion thanks to the god awful bullpen.
