tick tock tick tock
does anyone else hear the ticking? i feel totally helpless after tonights game. i have had nothing but faith in STL front office management until tonight. as a lifer, im here for the long haul but sitting through the 4th implosion in a row im wondering if Mo and TLR are watching the same team the rest of us are. the offense has its faults but in the end, no matter the margin the bullpen should be able to handle a lead...at least ONCE in a while. for TLR to say its just as much the offense's fault is rediculous, their job is to get the lead and they have. the bullpen MUST hold the lead...thats how this works. to gripe about "not getting enough runs" is assanine. it takes 1 run to win, period. also, if you will excuse the rant...Ryan Braun is a D-Bag, i wanted to jump through the TV after he stood and watched his HR leave the park. it even looked like he blew a kiss to Franklin once he started his trot. thats no way to play the game and i hope the cards remember that the next time Braun is in the box...maybe the taste of dirt will bring him down a peg. GO CARDS

Bill Hall
Bill Hall should have already had his bell rung after pimping his two HR’s earlier in the series, add Braun to Tony’s list of redemption

Braun's stunt
was way more exaggerated. i hope he takes one on any part of body be it head, knee, or any other sensitive area next time. There is no place in baseball for that crap.

Sadly I think baseball is turning into the "showboat" era
similar to what the NBA did 6-7 years ago and still are.
But MLB lets these guys get away with it. Guys like Ryan Braun watch the highlights of guys like Manny Ramirez showboating and sees how the media like ESPN puts guys like Manny on a pedestal then they follow suit. Plus MLB fines and suspends pitchers for even thinking about throwing at a player…so there is not much to be done about anymore. It’s only going to get worse.

fining hitters?
the players association would probably never allow it, but perhaps mlb should try to fine hitters for showboating after a homerun like the nfl does for excessively celebrating a touchdown. it would be pretty subjective difficult to tell where to draw the line (would pitchers antics after big strikeouts fall in this category? what about the whole team running out to celebrate a walk off at homeplate?). Still I agree that Braun’s antics should have some consequences whether it be a fastball off his ribcage or a fine is debatable.

I wouldn't like to see
banning a display like we saw after Aaron Miles’ walk off GS the other day. I don’t think that could be considered showboating, but that was one of the coolest moments so far this season. I hope that stuff sticks around.

D-Bags
Braun, Elijah Dukes, Jose Reyes, and Evan Longoria are all little bitches. They all need a couple fastballs right at their faces. When Bill Hall did his gaze, that was about as long as you should stand and watch one. Braun stood their for like 4 seconds!!

this post would’ve gone nicely with 400 other comments in the game thread.

If you don't like it...
If Cards pitchers don’t like getting shown up by Ryan Braun, they should try getting him out, not headhunting him later.

How about we start reading the fanposts before submitting them?
Do we really need to come in here everyday and find people calling for someone to get hit in the face? Or name calling like D-bags? Now I know what that flag button is for

Blogs
Yea, thats kind of the whole purpose of blogs. A way for the fans to voice their opinions about how much we despise certain athletes. If I pay $60 for a ticket, I should be able to call Ryan Bruan a piece of shit.
