Brewers Land Durham
Ray Durham has been dealt to the Brewers for players that are not known at this time. The Brewers are in San Francisco this weekend, but Durham is not expected to play for either team on Sunday.
Obviously, this is another blow to the Cardinals. Ray Durham is a Cardinal killer, and now we got to go against him another 10 times this year. Does this put more pressure on Mo to make a move for a bat? As always, I hope he doesn't do anything desperate.

i like your thinking
but i think it’ll take carp at least three starts (one at springfield and two at memphis) for him to feel comfortable.
with that being said, it still puts him in line to be back the first week in august.

A shame
I really thought Ray Durham could be an upgrade to this team without costing much. A package of Steve Hammond and Darren Ford isn’t much to give up, although Ford is considered a speed demon. Two C prospects.

so...does this mean
the brewers are giving up on rickie weeks?
i guess i’ll drop him in fantasy and quit waiting for him to realize his potential.

rickie
if they are giving up on him wouldn’t he be a better player for us then kennedy? if they are willing to trade him and much less in the division where he could come back and bite em

Moot point
They’d never deal him now, much less to the Cardinals.

relievers
according to mlbtraderumors.com we have narrowed down the reliever search to ron mahay and brian fuentes. I don’t know if thats a big move your looking for but getting fuentes would be a good player to put in as the closer(better then franklin) or just another reliever

If we're looking...
for a lefthanded specialist only…I’d go for Jimmy Gobble from the Royals. If we’re looking for someone who can come in for a whole inning, then those two will do.

Mahay is having a great season
I wouldn’t mind him at all. Maybe we could package him and Grudz together? heh.
On with the (good) youth movement!
