Out of Towner - where to sit ??
I'm looking into making a trip in August and I'm looking for help on where to look for seats in Busch III. I've heard there are parts of the stadium that are pretty brutal with respect to the sun.
Also, any help with regards to where to eat or hang out before and after games would be great. I know Pujols and Edmonds both have restaraunts but I'd like to find some places where Cards fans meet up. Any ideas?

pujols restaraunt is no where near down town, its in maryland heights, in an outdoor plaza called Westport
Edmonds one is downtown but its “upscale” and you have to be dressed up to get in.
Severial people in cardinals and edmonds jersies were not allowed in

when was this?
I’ve been in F15teen several times in Jeans and a T-shirt. It was durring lunch not dinner or afterhours when just the club is opened.

Avoid Right field
Upper deck right field = no fun at all. Sun’s in your grill for an evening game, and you can’t see the score board. As far as eating and drinking before the game, I’d say Shannons (drinking before the game is its specialty), Paddy O’s (drinking after the game + eating before the game if you get there early enough to beat the crowds), Broadway Oyster Bar (good times all around before and after) or Calico’s (for a sit down, TGI Friday’s-ish bar and grill—definitely less Cardinal-festive than the others).

I recommend Joanie's Pizzeria in Soulard
Always tasty, family-friendly, very receptive of Cards fans.

seats
Yes, the RF upper deck is brutal due to the sun and not being able to see the scoreboard. Actually, I’ve been unimpressed with the entire upperdeck at the new stadium. The bleachers are a much better deal, in my opinion. If you are going through a scalper or stubhub, I’d pay a premium to sit downstairs, but that’s just me.
However, since I’m now living in Chicago, I may be spoiled after years of sitting in Wrigley’s upperdeck. Say what you will about the place, but the upper deck boxes at Wrigley are really close to the field, especially when compared with all the other new stadiums.

If you're worried about the sun
I’d go with loge reserved seats somewhere in the IF. The upper deck creates a nice sun shade over much of the section. Personally, I prefer the bleachers but they’re always right in the sun.
As for after the game, if you’re looking to have some drinks with a lot of Cardinals fans you can’t go wrong with Paddy-O’s and Al Hrabosky’s. Both are right down the street (south) less than a block from the stadium.
