All Star Game Overflow 3

How long does this game have to go before it's declared a tie, with a decisive game seven of the world series to be played in Kaufmann Stadium/PNC Park?  Will Ludwick throw the 17th inning?

3-3, 15th inning, Scott Kazmir on the mound.

Not in the least bit

IMO if you want homefield advantage determined by something during the season, give it to the league with the best overall winning percentage in IL play.

I also don’t think a Wild Card team should EVER get home field advantage over a team that won its division.

Looks like the Red Sox will have home field yet again in the WS

which really pisses me off….that’s why Terry Francona was so happy…he didn’t care about how many more pitches Kazmir had to pitch, he knew his team would get home field for their 3rd trip to the WS in 4 years. Just sickening.

I agree HL with the Angels

but Tampa might be a stretch. But look at Boston’s home record. Look at how the Indians choked when they had to play at Fenway last year in the playoffs. The Angles will choke playing in Boston again just like last year in the first round. If the Red Sox has home field throughout the AL playoffs I would bet the farm that they will go to the WS. Teams just seem to get intimidated when they go in to play at Fenway…...I hate it..but it’s the way it’s been the past 5 years.

the TB-BOS split this year is crazy

so far it’s been the home team winning every game (6-6).

With 3 away and 3 home remaining ;)

Boston getting home field for anything

is a HUGE advantage for them. Except for our Cards this year just about every team goes into Fenway looking like the local beer league team going against a MLB team. I don’t know if it’s the green monster or what…. but something psyches out teams when they play there. For a good example watch the 2007 ALCS and the horrible choke job the Indians did when they went in there up 3-2 in the series.

This year Boston is 36-11 at Fenway…21-29 on the road….home field is HUGE for them.

I agree

when we went into boston in 2004 our team looked timid and awestruck and just in awe or something. It was the damnedest thing, its like we were intimidated
