sheets (10-3, 2.85) vs lee (12-2, 2.31). when i was a kid, the national league won this game every year; from the time i was 6 years old until i was 19, the al only won it one time. but in the last 20 years, the national league has won just 3 times --- and they mustered a tie one year . . . . . .

i attended the 1984 all-star game at candlestick park in san francisco. the nl starter that night? the immortal charlie lea . . . . .

he's a borderline MLB starter

had a great april, but the league adjusted to him and now he’s toast. hasn’t had a month with an OPS over .800 since then, even with the wrigley inflation, and he has had a sub-.500 OPS so far in July…

and he looked absolutely hilarious on that K swing. Granted, Ankiel would probably have K’d on it as well, but he might have hit opne the the first twon into the subway.

Yeah but Yadi is like the 99th percentile of defensive catchers

Martin isn’t as good as Yadi, but he can sort of hold his own. IMO that wasn’t a bad throw. What did they say about Kinsler? Something like 33 for 35 in SB attempts this year?

The Rangers are a great time

Except that whole pitching thing.

I lived in Dallas for a year- I think I saw the Rangers score 8+ runs several times and STILL manage to lose. It was like the TESS every game.

i was like Mr haren and he said I have to run..they were in pre game stuff so noone knew who players were but me. He ran i waited about 10-15 min..he came over and signed it..i said we were sad to see ya go in Stlou(had my pujols jersey on) we coud use ya this yr..and he kinda grinned and smiled told him i grew up aout an hr and a half away from stlouis thats how i knew who he was
