First Trip to Busch III
I have been to 5-10 games in StL in my life and 20 or so 'Cards games here in Cincy, but will be making my first trip to the Gateway City since 2005.
Hopefully someone can help me out. I, along w/ my g/f and maybe another couple, will be going to the Aug 23 (and maybe 24) game against the braves. Is it possible to find reasonably priced tickets downtown the day of the game or would I be better off shopping the web? I am not planning on getting Cardinal Club tickets but would like to find some nice seats.
Any suggestions (or if anyone has some to get rid of) would be appreciated on here or to clinton.rinehart@fmr.com.
Thanks,
Clint.

You can get decent
tickets on the street.
I have discovered in twenty years of moving around a ball park, that the knowledge of the game is usually in inverse proportion to the price of the seats. ~Bill Veeck

Stub Hub
I too am making my first trip to Busch III this summer, actually my first trip to St. L since I was 6. I got great seats, first row of the first deck, section 352, amost directly behind home plate, for a Phillies/Cards Sunday night game for $32 on Stubhub.com. I think Stubhub is were season ticket holders re-sell thier seats. I would definately check there.

Stub Hub
If you can’t find tickets directly through the Cardinals website, go through Stub Hub. Also, when you go downtown and if you’re not taking the Metrolink to get to the stadium, I recommend parking at Hrabosky’s. It’ll cost about $20 to park there, but it’s close to the stadium… http://www.alhraboskys.admitonevip.com/location.php

I'll be there for that whole series
along with some colleagues from Atlanta.

My dog and I will be there Saturday the 23rd
for pooches at the park day. I wonder if Broadway Oyster Bar will allow dogs that day?
Well who the hell can see forever?

StubHub sounds like a good option
I’d do that if I were you, just because I’d want to be sure of my tickets.
Generally, though, you can get tickets outside the stadium on the street, like bukowski said.

Parking and Stubhub
Park your car at a Metrolink stop and ride the train to the stadium. Parking is free and the station and you can ride round-trip for under $5.
I’ve used Stubhub on several occassions and have found some good deals. You still have some time to shop around on there. I’ve never bought tickets on the day of game so I can’t help you with that.

Don't forget about first pitch
Can’t beat $11 for 2 seats. It’s common to get seats in the redbird club. The downside of course is you could get SRO, but it’s easy to find some empty seats.

Don't forget ebay
I just bought two outfield field box tickets for $125 (for both) on ebay for the Cards & Cubs series over July 4th weekend. The same tickets were going for upwards of $200 on StubHub.
