all just in time for the asb

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, perhaps you haven't grasped the situation!

Would've been nice

if the Giants would’ve completed their comeback today.

Harden would have seen his bullpen blow a 7 run lead to lose the game. “Welcome to Cubs baseball.”

Did you see the finish of that game?

About three weirdnesses in the final inning—all in the Cubs’ favor, and not one an umpiring decision. Blame fate, not the umps.

geesh, wake up Troy,

there’s a reason they teach you to only go half way to a base on a fly ball

Mornin' akaitori

Klosters still taste like formalehyde? Fun game so far and Welley’s elbow didn’t explode as feared.

by random on Jul 12, 2008 9:01 PM EDT up reply actions

Klossters still abound, but I rode the Singh train last night - amongst other activities. . ..

Gotta be honest...

After that first inning, I didn’t think Welley would make it through six with a two-hitter. Well done, Colonel.

by peach concrete on Jul 12, 2008 9:06 PM EDT reply actions

Nice inning, Feared that it might be DLemeyer today. Glad Col. seems to be Wellemeyer

by random on Jul 12, 2008 9:08 PM EDT up reply actions

if you accept the idea of dunc in this lineup,

and i realize that is a big if for a lot of posters, why hit him in front of yadi, rather than in the 7 slot? it preserves the L-R-L-R pattern, and I’d rather see yadi hit ahead of dunc right now.

by tom s. on Jul 12, 2008 9:07 PM EDT reply actions

Tony must want

Yadi’s speed in front of the pitcher. Don’t want to bunt into a DP.
