Since nobody here thinks Rasmus is worth Holliday and Fuentes what about dealing Duncan, Garcia, Reyes, PTBNL for Bedard and Arthur Rhodes. Seattle needs a first basemen/DH and Duncan can provide some pop now that Sexson is gone then Reyes needs a fresh start and can be solid. Garcia is a good prospect.

Right now Bedard probably isn't going to cost a ton but this is a potential trade, or how about Bryan Anderson, Stavinoha, Garcia/Reyes, and Ryan for Bay and Jack Wilson?

he just has some back spasms

and he only went on the DL because of the upcoming break and the Ms wanted some roster flexibility. he’s expected to rejoin the rotation after the all star break and start the fourth game back.

that being said, i think you’re giving up too much in the first proposed trade. i think duncan, reyes, and a low level prospect could be enough to pry ‘em free. i don’t really think he’s on the market though.

First Trade?

Duncan, Reyes, and a low level prospect would be enough to pry Bedard free? I don’t see that happening since they gave up their best OF prospect (Jones) and a couple other players to get him last year. It’s going to take at least that much to get him now because the M’s aren’t going anywhere, but he’s signed through 2009 so they have plenty of time to trade him.

I also don’t see either of those clubs interested in Anderson as they have young catchers already.

bedard trade

hes only signed thru this year…if he leaves they only get one extra pick theres for respectable guys there….who wants bedard though the ultimate rental you know hes not staying they say hes a horrible teammate…possibly bc hes never been on a winner though
