Game 62 Open Thread Overflow

Lots of comments tonight.

Parisi has probably punched his ticket back to Memphis especially if Pineiro is going to be out for much longer.  FWIW, Anthony Reyes is matched up on the same rotation day in memphis -- not that that means anything.

If AK wasn't an idiot

It’d be 7-2, parisi could bunt, and with a little luck we’d be back in this game if Iz2 gets a hit.

At first I was laughing at our ineptitude

Now I’m laughing that we’re scoring runs off of Redding

It's inconsequential now

Because if everything had stayed the same, Kennedy would have scored on Glaus’ hit, and Parisi would have bunted. It would be 7-2 now and Izturis batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd

I kind of liked them, and I LOVE the city of Montrèal

but when they couldn’t get people out to see Tony Gwynn’s 3000 hit, I kind of started to feel that they probably didn’t deserve a MLB team.

"headed for the bullpen"

I’ve heard that the press boxes at Nats Park are way up there – does it affect depth perception? I’ve noticed that Bob Carpenter has been really excitable about routine outs.

That one off Nieves’ bat was “deep into the bullpen! and it will be corralled.”

Which was it Bob?

Nah

He’ll wait for the DFA so he can get the 3 million for next year too.

I'll bet..

He slowed down intentionally, because he was certain he hit into a DP, and wanted to give them the opportunity to turn it.

I take solace in the fact

that it will be really hard for AK to hit into ANOTHER dp tonight.

I think it's safe to say that

this is the funniest I have ever watched. Don’t get me wrong, it would be great if we could somehow manage to pull off a comeback win. But either way, I got a lot of laughs out of it.
