Cardinal Allstars

Hey everyone, just in case you haven't, I thought we could give a push to some deserving Cardinal All-Star Candidates. You can vote up to 25 times at mlb.com. Right now as I speak the obvious deserving Cardinals are as follows:

El Hombre - he's in fine shape sitting second behind Mr. Berkmann (obviously)

Ankiel - Ninth in outfielder voting - we could push him in (his glove sets him apart)

Ludwick - 14th in outfielder voting - once again we can push him in (hopefully he'll knock out four or five more before the All-Star game)

Yadi - Currently he sits at third - He's batting close to .300 and has been getting some bigger ribbies, the arm speaks for itself...

I think these guys are all very deserving... let's support the crew who has us living a playoff pipedream for the moment....

Honestly

I think the only guys on that list that truly “deserve” it is Pujols and Molina, although I’m not sure either one actually deserves to start. Ankiel hasn’t hit for a month and Ludwick has sortof gone cold a little lately after being a part-time player.

with Ludwick's current numbers

he more than deserves to be in the top ten.

On with the (good) youth movement!

Soto

Except that geovany soto pretty much deserves it. Right?

it looks like mccann is outperforming soto: .313/.386/.574 vs .293/.384/.560, both at 10HR.

Hopefully

Clint Hurdle will see that Wainwright is one of the best in the league and add him…

Hmmm...

Still no love for the NLPitcherOTM in May? Guess he’ll have to win in June too….

welley

Should probably go for it in August too. Why not September for that matter?

Looks like Pujols slips to 3rd behind Derek Lee in the voting

Which in all honesty is fine with me. Pujols doesn’t have to prove to anyone anymore how great he is and I would rather he get a few days off during the All-Star Break to rest his legs.

Although he will probably go because there has to be one Cardinal that makes the team. And since none will be voted in he will more than likely be the choice.
