For the PC

it is a modded version of MVP Baseball 2005.

Many ‘historic’ seasons have been done. A 2008 version is on the near horizon.

cool

I’m more of a pc gamer now; I’ll definitely get the new one!

Wait, there is no new one

you have to have a version of MVP 2005. Then you can download total conversion mods that change it to the various seasons.

by Hardcore Legend on Jun 25, 2008 11:11 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

ah

I get it now. So any other decent baseball games out?

Not really

no.

There is nothing really for the PC and the console games all suck.

I've got MLB 2K8 for the WII and love it

Not only do you get to laugh at people for how much they suck, you get to laugh at them for looking dumb doing it. Unfortunately I suck too, so it evens the playing field.

The Chacon story, cont.
Shawn Chacon, who was suspended indefinitely by the Astros, said he threw Ed Wade to the floor Wednesday after being asked to attend a meeting with the general manager and manager Cecil Cooper.

Chacon said he was told sternly by Wade that he was going to have the meeting, something he didn’t want to do. “He started yelling and cussing,” Chacon said of Wade. “I’m sitting there and I said to him very calmly, ‘Ed, you need to stop yelling (at) me. Then I stood up and said ‘you better stop yelling at me.’ I stood up. He continued and was basically yelling and stuff and was like, ‘You need to (expletive) look in the mirror.’ So at that point I lost my cool and I grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground. I jumped on top of him because at that point I wanted to beat his (butt). Words were exchanged.” Chacon was pulled away from Wade by a teammate before he could do any damage, which may end up saving his career. It’s still hard to imagine another team being eager to give him a chance this year.

Tigers announcer:

“If you lose, you won’t be too happy about this rain delay, but if you win, you probably don’t mind that”

Ya think?

They say that it's never too late, but you don't get any younger...

by Valatan on Jun 25, 2008 11:14 PM EDT   0 recs

Did still

Still struck out 2 swinging in the inning, Yeah it seems like the catcher tried to throw out a runner going from first to second with a guy on third than botched the throw

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, perhaps you haven't grasped the situation!

Amazing! One of the top five defensive cachers ever at the end of his career! Whod’ve thought?
